Started something that I am already regretting - sorting out the china store. It’s a job I’ve been putting off. I’m about a third of the way through of emptying, rearranging and repacking. But now I’ve started, I’ve got to finish it. And I know that once it’s done I’ll be a happy bunny, as I hate things being cluttered and untidy. On a plus note I seem to have collected loads more milk jugs than I thought (this is only one box) and found another box of pretty plates that I had forgotten about.

Whilst we already offer meat and cheese platters on our buffet menu, we’re always looking to learn and improve. On Thursday myself and Marie Reynolds from Me Old Vintage China had the pleasure of attending a charcuterie workshop with the fabulous Phoebe from Sandwich Grazing at Albion House in Ramsgate. It was a small class explaining different techniques to improve presentation. Phoebe explained why certain meats and cheeses should be pared together and showed us new ways to style for maximum impact. These vanilla cupcakes were part of a buffet we delivered in Herne Bay at the weekend. Vanilla sponge with strawberry preserve filling and topped with vanilla buttercream, flowers and sprinkles. We were honoured to be asked back to the Turner Contemporary yesterday, to cater for a memorial tea for 45 guests.
