I remember being absolutely terrified setting this cake up for my lovely Godson Ross and his new bride Caitlin Wellard. A few photo’s from Saturday’s afternoon tea for Freida’s 90th birthday. We had such a lovely afternoon and even met some old friends. The guests enjoyed a selection of dainty finger sandwiches, savoury treats, luscious lemon cake, scones and a slice or two of the birthday cake, all served on our exquisite vintage china. The host Tracy also arranged for an ice cream van to come mid afternoon which was very welcome, as it was so hot! On Thursday myself and Marie Reynolds from Me Old Vintage China had the pleasure of attending a charcuterie workshop with the fabulous Phoebe from Sandwich Grazing at Albion House in Ramsgate. It was a small class explaining different techniques to improve presentation. Phoebe explained why certain meats and cheeses should be pared together and showed us new ways to style for maximum impact.
